Roof Replacement

Full tear-off and replacement using shingles rated for central Oklahoma hail and wind. We pull the permit, protect the property, and magnet-sweep the ground before we leave.

What This Covers

A full replacement means the old roof comes off down to the decking, the deck gets inspected and repaired where it is soft, and the whole system goes back on new: underlayment, ice and water shield at the vulnerable edges, flashing, shingles, and ridge ventilation. Replacing shingles over a bad deck or worn flashing is how a five-year-old roof starts leaking.

Signs You Need This Service

  • Shingles are curling, cupping, or losing granules across whole slopes
  • You are patching the same roof more than once a year
  • Decking feels soft or springy underfoot
  • The roof is past 20 years on asphalt and the insurer is asking questions

Materials & Methods

  • Impact-rated Class 4 architectural shingles, which most Oklahoma insurers discount
  • Synthetic underlayment rather than felt, which tears less during install
  • Ice and water shield in valleys, at eaves, and around penetrations
  • New pipe boots and step flashing, never reused

What to Expect

  1. 01Tear-off and haul-away of the old roofing in one pass
  2. 02Any rotten decking shown to you before it gets covered
  3. 03Most homes reshingled the same day
  4. 04Magnetic sweep of the drive, lawn, and flower beds before we leave

What it looks like

Tear-off, deck, and dry-in

A replacement is a system, not a surface. The decking, underlayment, and flashing decide whether the shingles last.

Questions

Roof Replacement Questions

How long does a full roof replacement take?

Most homes in the metro are torn off and reshingled in a single day. Steeper or larger roofs, and jobs where we find rotten decking, can run into a second day.

Do I need to be home while you work?

No. We only need access to the exterior and the driveway. Plenty of homeowners go to work and come back to a finished roof.

Will you tear off the old roof or shingle over it?

We tear off. Layering over an existing roof hides decking problems, adds weight, voids most manufacturer warranties, and gives you a shorter-lived roof for very little saving.

What happens if you find rotten decking?

We show you, with photographs, before it gets covered. Decking is priced per sheet so you are not guessing at the exposure up front, and we only replace what is actually bad.

How do you protect my landscaping and driveway?

Tarps over beds and shrubs, plywood where we are moving material, and a magnetic sweep across the drive, walks, and lawn before we leave.
